Help?

Hi, guys! I'm new in these parts, but I've got a question for all of y'all.

My friend's got a birthday coming up (and there's always Hannukah after that, lol!) and she's a HUGE fan of Final Fantasy: VII. She also loves fiber craft, but hasn't the patience to make it for herself.

So here's my question: has anyone got a pattern for something FFVII? I'm not a very talented knitter--my skill set is kinda all over the place. I can read (and mostly follow) patterns, and I've mastered "basic" knitting skills, but I'm not yet capable of intarsia, cabling, or anything involving more than 4 needles.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Spock!Clanger

Okay, this may be a little silly, but...

I made a Spock Clanger.

(If you don't know who the Clangers are, go here. If you don't know who Spock is, go here.)

Which size?

I got some yarn as a gift, and I think it's enough to make the beret from the Charmed Knits book. I'm not sure which size to do, though. My head is 23". For the pattern, M is 21 1/4" and L is 24". Should I go small and assume it'll stretch, or large because it won't? (Assuming I have the needles and skills to do this project, anyway...) This is my first time making a hat, so we'll see how it goes.

oh noes!

  Help please!

I am more than 2/3 of the way through a very long and labor-intensive commission (I've been working on it for almost three years now).  I'm working with knitpicks panache and stash ran out- I need about 3 more skiens of cloud and one more skien of coal.  I went to go order more, but knitpicks has discontinued it.

Does anyone have ANY knitpicks panache in cloud and or coal that they can sell me?  I'm totally willing to pay for shipping, the amount you paid for it, and a "you have helped me out beyond belief" fee.

If no one has it, does anyone have any knowledge about what I could buy at my LYS or online that would be good enough to sub for the rest of this project?

I promise that I normally buy all the yarn I need ahead of time, but this was a designed commission and I had no idea I'd need as much as I do.

(no subject)

For putting the Torchwood T on a pillow, I made a big version of the chart for it. You can find a picture and the chart here in my journal; I think it should also have the right size for putting it on a sweater.

Finished Object: Gallifreyan Gryffindor

Recently I finished a Doctor Who and Harry Potter related object and thought I'd post about it. It's a scarf based on, well, you'll see.

First post!

Hey everyone, I'm so glad to find this community! :D

I am currently in the process of making a collection of fandom scarves for myself. The thing is, I need suggestions as to notable scarf-wearing characters in modern pop culture. So far I have:

1. House scarves from Harry Potter, for Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.

2. Chuck Bass's scarf (on the right), from Gossip Girl.

3. Mr. Tumnus's fuzzy scarf, from The Chronicles of Narnia.

4. Tom Baker's long scarf, from Dr. Who.

5. The Cat in the Hat's scarf, from Dr. Seuss.

6. Merlin's scarves (red, blue, and gray), from the BBC show "Merlin".

Can you guys think of others?

Tardis dishcloth

Hello! I joined this community a couple of days ago and am pleased to post my first fandom knit piece: Tardis dishcloth. I got the pattern from Ravelry (username katiejar) and plan to send this to one of my friends who is a huge Who fan (as am I). Thanks for letting me share! (x-posted)
